I couldn’t believe I’d only made one Paper Theory Zadie jumpsuit so far. It’s a pattern I loved and knew worked well for my body and yet I’d never gotten round to making anymore!
Well since I now had all this free time on my hands I thought it was time to rectify that!
I’d planned to use a lovely light blue viscose chambray is bought at the Paris Sewcial last May (a whole year ago now!) from Les Coupons de Saint-Pierre. It’s super soft and drapey but still had a bit of weight to it. I knew when I bought it that it would be perfect for a Zadie!
I only made a couple of slight alterations compared to my original version. I pressed the bias binding to the inside and hand stitched it down rather than keep it exposed. I cropped the leg length slightly. I also added a small frill to each sleeve!
Each frill piece was twice the width of the sleeve and 12cm long which I then sewed into a circle and gathered to fit Easy peasy!

The extra frill just jazzes it up a little, don’t you think?
This pattern is especially good for lockdown as it’s a) super comfy b) great at hiding lockdown weight!
