The Magnolia dress // Deer & Doe

This’ll be my last Minerva Crafts post for a while whilst I knuckle down and actually get started on my little sister’s wedding dress.

Following in from my previous two makes for them (here and here), I’m carrying on the wrap dress theme!

This time I made the Deer and Doe Magnolia dress which has a mock wrap bodice. I made the maxi length version with the skirt split and the full gathered sleeves using a floral georgette.

I love Deer and Doe patterns in that they always seem to fit remarkably well without me having to change to much. I ended up only shortening the bodice slightly to fit and it was pretty much perfect!

And it’s the dreamiest dress! I love how it’s turned out. I think I like this pattern enough that I’m going to use it as the base for the bridesmaids dresses I’ll be making later this year!
