DIY dressmaking + crafts with Emily

A Linden sweater at last!

My make for this month’s Minerva Crafts Blogger Network is this!

The Linden sweater from Grainline Studio!

It’s taken me a while to get around to this pattern. I think everyone else has already made one! But I finally came to the realisation that I really do need a good raglan sleeve sweater in my life…

So I made mine out of the medium weight origami bird print jersey from Minerva Crafts. I love this fabric. I totally nicked the idea for this sweater from Lauren at Guthrie and Ghani. I saw her version in a similar (same?) fabric at the Knitting and Stitching show in March and just knew I needed one too!

It’s the perfect weight to throw over the top of any summer outfit to ward off the evening chill. Or in this case keep you warm enough during the day too since the weather is still pretty miserable here…

  1. Love your Linden! I have this pattern too and have yet to make it up but yesterday in a little trip up the coast I wore my me-made sweatshirt (cotton fleece) and loved it so much I decided I really need to make more of these! Love Minerva – I’ve ordered loads of fabric from them here in Canada and their shipping is AMAZINGLY reasonable and I’ve always been very happy with the quality of their fabric so I will go now and follow your convenient link to this fabric! It is gorgeous 🙂

    1. Glad to be inspiring more sewing! I really like this pattern. It’s definitely been one of my faves this year!
