The new Nora top from Tilly and the Buttons

The new Autumn patterns from Tilly and the Buttons have finally hit the shelves!

The Nora and Ness patterns (top and skirt respectively) are typical Tilly patterns with a great retro style, easy to wear vibe that I’m sure we’ll be seeing plastered across our social media feeds before long!

Today I’m showing off the Nora top which I pattern tested earlier this year!

The Nora is a loose fit multi-option knit top. You can opt for either a longer tunic length or a cropped stepped hem, short, elbow length or extra long sleeves and either a round crew neckband or a polo neck.

I chose to make a top with the short sleeves, stepped hem and the neckband and I used some striped ribbed jersey from the stash.

This is a lovely easy pattern to make with great instructions as you’d expect from Tilly and the Buttons. The dropped shoulder means easy sleeve insertion (it removes the big curve from the top of the shoulder) and the whole thing should take just hours to make from scratch.

I like the loose fit as I find it easy to wear by if you’re worried about it, check the finished garment measurements and pick your size from there!

I’m already planning to whip up a bunch of these with the various options for the winter!
