Another Mira dress hack! // Fibre Mood

A year later and I’m still mildly (completely) obsessed with the Mira dress pattern from Fibre Mood! Every time I make a new Mira dress I tell myself that that’ll be my last one… Aaaaaand then I make another one! Its loose relaxed fit is just too easy to make and wear! (Check out my previous versions here, here, here and here!)

My latest one is yet another take on the original pattern!

This version has a simple gathered midi skirt with a short turned up sleeve. I kept the centre back seam of the bodice open almost all the way to create a large keyhole style opening.

My choices were made somewhat of necessity – I was only able to purchase 2m of this gorgeous coral and pink dot viscose twill from Clothspot and I wanted to maximise it! Tiers of gathering always takes up a fair bit of meterage even on a short skirt!

I used the top panel of the Mira skirt and lengthened it to create my front and back skirt. The sleeve was shortened to become a short sleeve. Very easy adjustments to make!

This has definitely become a tried and tested pattern for me! I’ve very much got it down to where I know exactly how each version will turn out despite my changes to it!
