Patterns 4 Pirates Petite pegs + hat!

I’ve discovered there’s is something so satisfying about making baby clothes. I think it’s to do with making whole garments out of fractions of fabric and they end up looking so cute too!

I’m at an age where all my peers seem to be popping out babies left right and centre so amidst all the baby showers I’m going to, there’s a whole load of baby sewing going on!

The most recent one was for Gabby (of Gabberdashery fame)!

I opted to make the free baby sewing patterns from Patterns 4 Pirates!

They have patterns for baby leggings, a T-shirt and a little hat in sizes from premature to 12 months.

I made a matching leggings and hat combo!

I used a sunny yellow and polka dot cotton Lycra jersey from Girl Charlee and used less than half a metre of fabric for both items.

The hat comes with a few different options – bear ears, plain and a knitted top. I went for the knotted top! It’s just too cute!

So I’d definitely recommend these patterns if you’re looking for easy baby clothes to make. They’re perfect for gifts! (Or for your own kids!).
