Another month gone and I’ve got another Minerva Crafts make to share with you!
The Reeta dress from Named Clothing has been a clear favourite amongst sewists – I’ve been seeing them everywhere! And why not? It’s a gorgeous midi length dress with a bit of a retro vibe going on, perfect for this summer!
Of course now we’re moving into autumn, it’s time to think about a change in wardrobe. I wanted to make a Reeta dress that could move more easily between seasons.
So for this project I picked out a lovely dark blue floral viscose. It’s lightweight enough to be worn as a summer dress but could also be layered up with a chunky knit sweater and worn with boots on colder days.
I loved making this dress. It’s simple but interesting. I really enjoy putting in notched collars like these – I find them so weirdly satisfying!

I didn’t think I needed one of these dresses in my life until I saw yours. Now, I just have to add it to the list!
