The Knitting and Stitching Show ticket giveaway!

The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show is coming up fast and I’ve got 5 pairs of tickets to give away!

This is the show held at Olympia in West London every year (the autumn show is held at Alexandra Palace). It’s always a fun day out! Just make sure you come with an empty shopping bag and full wallet… 🤣

The show features, as always, a large craft fair with lots of haberdasheries, fabric shops, pattern companies etc coming together under one roof as well as a ton of workshops if you want to get crafting yourself! This year looks like it’s got a big emphasis on dressmaking (probably because The Great British Sewing Bee is starting in a couple of weeks!) with a whole new Sewing School area. There’s even a dressmaking competition going on – entry date is February 11th so you might want to get moving on that one!

The Fashion and Textile Museum will also be hosting 50 Years of Fabulous, showcasing collection of garments from its forthcoming exhibition celebrating iconic British designer Zandra Rhodes’ 50th anniversary.

Tickets are valid for the Thursday, Friday and Sunday only. Giveaway will be open until midday Sunday 3rd February when I will draw the winners. I’m also sharing this on my Instagram feed so feel free to head over there for a second chance to enter.

If you don’t win and still want to go, the show organisers have offered you guys a little discount off their regular priced tickets. Use the code SELFASSEMBLY19 here.  The code gives £2 off advance adult/ £1 off advance concessions, so tickets will be £12 instead of £14/£13 (plus £1.75 fulfilment fee per transaction).  This discount is for advanced bookings only and can be redeemed before midnight on Wednesday 27th February.

By the by, with the new push on social media by the Advertising Standards Agency, I’m obliged to say that this is an ad. The Knitting and Stitching show is providing me and 5 lucky readers free tickets in exchange for a post! I don’t make any money from any of the links or the discount code. They’re there for your info only!

  1. I’d love to go, thank you for this competition. I went to this last year (heading out in the snow!) as the first sewing event I’d ever been to and I had such a great time.

  2. I love a pair of tickets. I’d take my similarly sticchy friend Jane with me. Free tickets make a potentionally expensive day out more doable. Just train, food and spends!
    Thanks for the chance.

  3. I’d sooo love the opportunity of a freebie ticket, then I could spend my saving on more fabric – well….. it’d be rude not to wouldn’t it!

  4. I’d love to go. It is a great opportunity to buy fabric from lots of sellers in real life rather than on line.

  5. Hi from the North! Want to make my trip to the big city worthwhile so planning my visit carefully. Would love those tickets, would ease up the long journey!

  6. I would love to try my luck in the drawer I remember my mum taking me when I was a little girl and now I’m planning to take my mum, I’m so excited!!

  7. I would love to enter the draw. My mum used to take me when I was little, and now that I’ve missed quite a few years I’m hoping to take my mum as a treat . Can’t wait I’m so excited
